Wow. Even the dead are attacking Trump!
According to USA Today, in an upcoming book called “The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of an American Dynasty” by Susan Page of USA Today, the late former First Lady Barbara Bush blamed President Trump for her heart attack.
Barbara Bush was not a fan of President Trump and, according to the new book, her dislike for him started decades ago.
According to one of her pre-book interviews she wrote in her diary, “The real symbol of greed in the 80s,” referring to a news story involving Trump apparently getting paid $2 million dollars for speaking at an event attended by President Ronald and Mrs. Nancy Reagan.
She said, “I see President and Mrs. Reagan in the audience. Did you have to pay them $2 million?”
She also showed newspaper clippings to some of her friends on Donald Trump’s divorce from Ivana in 1992. She said that the $25 million settlement in Ivana’s prenuptial agreement wasn’t enough.
She wrote, “The Trumps are a new word, both of them. Trump now means greed, selfishness and ugly. So sad.”
It doesn’t end there…
During the 2016 presidential primaries Trump attacked Jeb Bush, especially when his mother joined him on the campaign trail. Donald Trump mocked Jeb Bush with tweets like this:
Just watched Jeb’s ad where he desperately needed mommy to help him. Jeb — mom can’t help you with ISIS, the Chinese or with Putin.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 23, 2016
She didn’t vote for either Trump or Clinton, and denounced the Republican Party in 2018. In the last few months of her life, she told her biographer it was because of President Donald Trump.
The Former First Lady died on April 17, 2018 at the age of 92. She made the decision to discontinue medical treatment for congestive heart failure and lung disease after consulting with her family and friends.
Should President Trump be blamed for her heart attack?
