Paybacks a B****! Chicago Mayor Sends Shamed Actor Jussie Smollett a Bill Demanding He Pay Back THIS MUCH!

Not so fast, Jussie Smollett…
Chicago is not a city you can just visit, commit a fake hate crime, blame Trump followers, then think you can get away with it.
NOT UP HERE!
Shamed Jussie Smollett’s legal team have now received a letter from the City of Chicago, seeking immediate payment of $130k for making false statements and staging a fake hate crime attack.
READ: Jussie Smollett Charges Dropped?! Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel Pissed: “This is a Whitewash of Justice.”
Mayor Rahm Emanuel said in a news conference:

“Given that he doesn’t feel any sense of contrition and remorse my recommendation is, when he writes THE check, in the memo section [of the check] he can put the wordS ‘I’m accountable for the hoax.”

According to Fox News reports, the city wants Smollett to pay for overtime hours expended in the investigation. They also made it clear that if the amount wasn’t paid in full within seven days, the “Department of Law may prosecute” Smollet “for making false statements to the City” or “pursue any other legal remedy available at law.”
Here’s a tweet of what the Mayor said:

The City of Chicago means business and it’s very evident (THIS TIME) they won’t hesitate to prosecute the shamed actor. Maybe. Who knows?
But wait… WHAT’S THIS?!
Smollett’s legal team fired back saying,

“It is the Mayor and the Police Chief who owe Jussie – owe him an apology – for dragging an innocent man’s character through the mud. Jussie has paid enough.”

That’s right. You read it correctly. Smollett’s legal team is DEMANDING an apology from Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson “for dragging an innocent man’s character through the mud.”
It’s obvious the City of Chicago, the Mayor and the Chicago PD are pretty pissed with the outcome of Jussie Smollett’s case. And, to add insult to injury, they weren’t notified of the decision to drop the charges until AFTER it was released to the public.
That has to sting. A LOT!
The Mayor said,

“Where is the accountability in the system? You cannot have – because of a person’s position – one set of rules apply to them and another set of rules apply to everyone else.
Our officers did hard work day in and day out, countless hours working to unwind what actually happened that night.
The city saw its reputation dragged through the mud… It’s not just the officers’ work, but the work of the grand jury that made a decision based on only a sliver of the evidence [presented].
Because of the judge’s decision, none of that evidence will ever be made public.”
“[This case] sends a clear message that if you’re in a position of influence and power you’ll be treated one way, and if you’re not you’ll be treated another way.”

Should the shamed actor pay back the $130k to the City of Chicago and apologize for the fake hate crime?
Do the City of Chicago, the Mayor and Chicago PD owe Smollett an apology for dragging his name through the mud?
