President Trump had some harsh words for Senator Mitt Romney over the weekend on Twitter. While he was tearing into Romney, he was also giving the devil his due by praising the Democrats on this one thing.
This may be the only good thing that the Democrats have in their favor. At least they “stick together.” Romney has shown nothing but disloyalty in this “witch hunt,” and President Trump gave him a piece of his mind.
Trump tweeted Sunday morning, “The Democrats are lucky that they don’t have any Mitt Romney types. They may be lousy politicians, with really bad policies (Open Borders, Sanctuary Cities, etc.), but they stick together!”
It was a busy weekend on Twitter for the president as he went on the rampage against Romney for going against his own party and not waiting on all the facts to come out before speaking out against the president.
The day before, Trump tweeted, “Mitt Romney never knew how to win. He is a pompous ‘a–’ who has been fighting me from the beginning, except when he begged me for my endorsement for his Senate run (I gave it to him), and when he begged me to be Secretary of State (I didn’t give it to him). He is so bad for R’s!”
This tweet came as a response from the criticism the Utah senator after Trump requested China also to carry an investigation into the Bidens. Romney tweeted, “When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated.” He added, “By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.”
Ukraine is already carrying its own investigations as they are cleaning up their country from the previous corruption. Last week, President Trump said on Twitter, “China should start an investigation into the Bidens because what happened with China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine. I’m sure that President Xi [Jinping] does not like being under that kind of scrutiny where billions of dollars are taken out of his country by a guy that just got kicked out of the Navy.”
At the end of September, Rudy Giuliani had this to say about Romney, “Look, Mitt, Trump did what you couldn’t do. Trump has an ability to relate to people, you don’t.” It appears it is a sense of jealousy on the part of the Utah Republican Senator.
President Trump is not the only person who is troubled by the lack of loyalty from Mitt Romney. Many Republicans have different opinions about the process of this whole impeachment deal.
Romney is the only one who is the most vocal on the issue of how he feels the president violated the law. The truth is, that is far from the truth. Without this probe, all of the corruption from the Democrats will go without justice. They will continue to play their games behind the scenes until they get their way. President Trump is putting a stop to all of it while bringing the truth to the light.
It is bad enough the Democrats have to stop the president every step of the way to getting America cleaned up from the corruption the Democrats have placed before him. When people like Mitt Romney step up out of jealousy or spite, it puts the GOP on edge while trying to get to the bottom of it all.
There is corruption, there is something fishy going on in Washington D.C., and Romney needs to keep his mouth shut and work with the GOP and the president to “drain the swamp” the right way.
We all know there is nothing illegal in what the president did when it comes to seeking help and merely asking “a favor.” The Ukraine president has his plate full, trying to undo the corruption in his country.
All President Trump did was offer help to end corruption as a whole. With China, the same thing has happened. There needs to be an investigation because that is the only way to tie the two countries together with what the Bidens did.
Democrats do not want their corruption exposed, so they want to impeach the president. If Romney cannot be a team player, then maybe we need another Republican to take his place.
